No plans for the Holiday season? Short on cash? Well, worry no more because the makers of Global Connect are here to help you restore your Holiday Blues! If you’re a current college student at Texas A&M University—Kingsville, or a local resident of Kingsville looking for something fun and exciting to do during the holiday season, we have planned an eventful night that you won’t soon forget. Being from South Texas we all love and enjoy hay rides, right? Well, take a day off from all the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and gift wrapping and make a short drive to the nearest city of Corpus Christi and take a hay ride through the most decorative neighborhoods in the area! The holiday season doesn't have to be filled with worries or unwanted stress. This event is a fun and affordable way to get out and experience the holiday cheer with family and friends. I understand that end of the year savings are tight for many people, so we wanted to make this an enjoyable and free event for anyone in the surrounding area. If you have don’t have a car or gas money to get to Corpus, simply car pool or take the Blue and Gold Bus for transportation. This two hour event will consist of a hay ride throughout the beautiful Corpus Christi Bay, and we will include refreshments such as warm delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows, (weather permitting), singing Christmas carols, eating candy canes, and having a night full of joy and laughter! There are so many neighborhoods that are brightly decorated with yard art ornaments and thousands of Christmas lights for all to see, so don't forget to bring your camera!  Anyone is welcome and there will be plenty of room on the hay ride for family and friends of all ages. Get in the spirit and wear your tackiest Christmas sweater and break out the reindeer antlers; sky’s the limit on how much fun you will have. International students especially are encouraged to come. I understand how difficult it must be to not have family nearby for the holiday season and what a better way to roll in the New Year than on our hay ride with your friends. Don’t let your finances or the distance get in the way of coming and enjoying the evening festivities. This event was planned and designed for anyone and everyone to attend. The holiday blues don’t have to get the best of you, so enjoy the time that you have off from either school or work and make the best of these last few weeks of 2012 stress free.
