"Black Friday" shopping, not enough food, is the house clean?  Many stress factors that many families go through during the holiday's.  I remember when i was in middle school, my mom made my family and I participate in "Black Friday" shopping.  This one year we waited outside of Sears in the blistering cold at about four o'clock in the morning. We were about the fourth or fifth person in line so I guess waiting that early in the cold was worth it to my mom.  That was not even the beginning though.  When the doors opened for business everyone ran in rushing to what items they desired.  The bumping and shoving hurt but my mom, dad, brother, sister and I each grabbed what item we desired, which totally made the trip, waiting and bruises worth it.

My mom and I had been discussing about participating in "Black Friday" shopping again this year.  But, I am more than sure that my family and I will more than likely not be participating in "Black Friday" shopping this year due to the fatal ATV accident of my 15 year old sister and the recent death of my maternal grandmother. A death in the family is never something easy. But a death in the family close to the holidays is even worse. It will be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas spent without the two and I know it is going to be very hard on my mom and dad especially.  Although the pain will always be there, there are a couple of activities I believe will help ease my family’s pain.

We had already planned a mini road trip to somewhere up north in Texas, either raod trippinng to San Antonio, Austin, or the College Station area to just get away from home and enjoy somewhere new.  Visit monuments, try new activites, try a new restuarant or visit colleges for my little brother.  We have agreed that a much needed spa time is a must for my mother and I and visiting sports stores is a must for my little brother and dad.  With this having been said, I believe my own organization, “Travel and Photography” organization, would help cure my family and I holiday blues.
